We’re looking for:
Due to continued growth we’re looking for someone available on a part-time basis (anywhere from 8 to 15 hours a week) to assist with the finance side of our business.
Total flexibility with this role to work the hours/days that suit you and do it all from home – ideal for a work from home parent.
About the role:
The primary focus of the role is split in two. First, you will be keeping on top of the bookkeeping for the business, including reconciling all transactions via Xero and providing monthly bookkeeping reports.
Secondly, you will be keeping on top of our outstanding debtor balance and following up with our clients to ensure invoices are paid as quickly as possible and the outstanding debtor balance remains as low as possible.
Outside of these two focus areas, you will provide assistance with various finance related functions for the business as necessary such as reporting, cost control, invoicing etc.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reduction of outstanding debtors on a timely basis whilst maintaining our customer relationships
- Invoicing
- Receipting payments
- Account reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- General bookkeeping
- Month end reporting (closing off forecast vs actuals)
- Cost control and administration
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate:
- Advanced skills in the Xero accounting platform
- Similar bookkeeping experience at another small business
- Excellent telephone manner, accurate data entry skills;
- Minimum 1 years proven collections experience;
- Great attention to detail with superior numeracy;
